Joining the rest of the royal family at the Palace of Westminster this week, the Duchess of Sussex dressed head-to-toe in black including a pair of simple but elegant heels.
When she performed a deep curtsey to the late Monarch's coffin on the way out of the service, eagle-eyed fans noticed an unusual symbol on the soles of her shoes. Many were left wondering if the three straight and one curved lines, which all overlap, were a personalised or perhaps even a moving tribute to her husband's grandmother.
However fashion experts quickly recognised what the P and A markings actually mean.
The symbol represents Paul Andrew, a high-end fashion designer.
The classic shoes are made by Paul Andrew, a high-end fashion designer from Berkshire who now sells his expensive shoes from New York.
People believe she's wearing his Pump It Up Heels, which she previously wore for a royal engagement in Ireland before she and Harry quit their senior royals for a new life in the US.
Meghan teamed the heels with a black dress, coat and hat.
In a moving tribute to the Queen, she also wear a pair of pearl and diamond earrings gifted to her by the Monarch ahead of their first joint engagement in 2018. They were very similar to the pair the Queen herself wore for the occasion.

Meghan joined her husband Prince Harry and other members of the royal family as the Queen's coffin made its final journey from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall.

They have since carried out a number of engagements, their first since they quit the UK in 2020.
All eyes were on the couple as they joined Kate and William for a walkabout in Windsor, during which they seemingly put months of tensions and fallout aside to unite in grieve.
William reportedly offered his younger brother to join him for the pre-arranged outing, which took place just a few minutes away from Frogmore Cottage, where the Sussexes are staying for the mourning period.
Charles used his first speech as King to "send love" to his younger son and daughter-in-law and referenced their new life in the US.
