Controversies and backlashes targeted at the Duchess of Sussex are at an all-time high. Lately, the Royal commentators and experts have been launching continuous attacks and verbal assaults on Meghan Markle for everything that she does. Especially, focusing on her public affirmations and claims like the ones from her podcast, Archetypes, she has been criticized a lot. However, once in a blue moon, some legitimate Hollywood bigwigs offer a helping hand by taking her stance.
Starting from Madonna to Snoop Dogg, everyone had the Sussex back when they gave up on their royalties in the UK. Madonna offered a sublet to the self-exiled pair immediately after their renunciation. Likewise, Snoop Dogg invited the couple over for Thanksgiving, taking his hats off for their audacious step against the Royal Family. Now, there is another name you can add to the list.
Another American Rapper has joined forces in support of the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes as he seemingly called out people who have been lashing out at Meghan Markle. Through his art, he has allegedly called on people to stop chasing the Sussex for good and let them live a life as they wish to. Reports have it that the American rapper Stormzy has honored Meghan Markle in his latest track.
A couple of days ago, on the 25th of November, the 29-year-old rapper happened to release a new album named This Is What I Mean. The lyrics of the song, Please in the album went as such, “Please could you lower your tone, please could you get off my phone, and please leave Meghan alone..”.
Addressing the ill-treatment the couple faced at the Palace, and the incorrigible indifference towards them, he added two more lines into the honorary. “I said please Leave Meghan alone, it cuts deeper when your house was never your home”. Later on the track, he also mentioned the ‘throne.’ While all of us mistook it as a reference to The Crown in the UK, Stormzy actually meant Markle’s father, Thomas Markle. He then connected Markle’s life mishaps to his own and compared his own relationship with his father.
Have you listened to Stomzy’s latest track which he made in support of Meghan Markle? What do you think about it? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
