With Meghan Markle‘s entry into the House of Windsor, the UK’s royal family spiraled down into a quagmire of controversies forever and after. Although the Duchess gave her all to try to get accustomed to the Palace’s ways and lifestyle, she did not get through. As a result, the world witnessed a never-before anti-royal highlight that shook the family from its core. The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry along with the Duchess, gave up on their UK Sovereigns and stepped out of the kingdom to seek a life across the pond. The event came to be infamously termed Megxit, which has further hence continued to stain the history of the royals. However, it seems like the tables have now turned.
Life has an interesting way of proving us all wrong and something similar happened with the dynamics of the estranged royals as well. The same United Kingdom that once wanted to expel the Duke from its premises now seems to be yearning for him. Independent had in its latest publication what is called a Reverse Megxit that has seemingly dawned the regal island country. Navigating through the legal decisions for Prince Harry on his bid for security arrangements, the publication calls it a “double retrograde” and for reasons quite justified.
Ever since the infamous Megxit took place, the one concern that has gripped the royals is the desperate chance of reconciliation. Although Prince Harry says he is up for it, his continuous actions of spilling the beans have proved otherwise. Meanwhile, the Kingdom has quite hurt itself by depriving the estranged Prince of the basic minimum of a Ravec privilege. Pitching in about the Home Office’s denial to provide the Duke and his family with paid security, the decision seemed to be very foolish, claimed the outlet.
There existed strained ties between the estranged royals. However, we all witnessed a bleak chance of reconciliation simmering with Prince Harry attending King Charles’ coronation. Unfortunately, it all degraded to square one, as the King did not even lift a finger to help his youngest through the defeated court cases. He had his reasons, but now Prince Harry has one too to drift farther apart from his royal base. A “historical rapprochement is urgently needed to heal the House of Windsor,” claimed Independent.
And with Prince Harry facing outright rejection for his bid to review security rearrangements, we can hardly see it happening. The United Kingdom thus needs Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, the chances for the same seem to have reduced drastically
