'Prince Harry should be dumped from line of succession after Louis to safe monarchy' royal commentator
One commentator has stated their belief that changes should now be made to the line of succession, making way for one royal who "breathes common sense and practicality".Buckingham Palace has been urged by one commentator to make some changes to the line of succession "after Louis".
The next person currently in the line of succession is Prince William followed by his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Despite no longer being a senior royal, or even living full-time on UK soil, Prince Harry is fifth in line.
Commentator Judy Finnigan has stated that the Duke of Sussex, considering his circumstances, "should be quietly dumped into the royal rubbish bin" - and the line made way for one royal in particular, Princess Anne.
Even if Harry was to be "dumped" from the royal line, Anne would still be much further down the line as other royals, such as Prince Andrew reside higher on the list than her.
According to Ms Finnigan, Anne would be the "only person in the line of succession who would inspire any respect".
Taking to her weekly column for the Express, the commentator said that Anne, just like her late parents, "breathes common sense and practicality".
Anne has been described as the 'perfect Queen' if she had the chanceMs Finnigan added that by removing Harry, it would save us from a monarchy taken over by "Harry and the Montecito mob".
Seemingly just as the line of succession typically goes, Harry is followed by his own two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet - in sixth and seventh place.
Unlike her elder brother, Lilibet was also born after Harry and Meghan's move to California in June 2021.
Despite this, Harry's HRH title has been removed from the Royal Family's official website, although this has been slammed as he still remains on the line of succession.
Despite no longer being a senior royal, Harry still remains in the line of successionSpeaking on the Palace Confidential podcast, the Daily Mail's diary editor Richard Eden slammed the move to quietly remove the Duke’s "His Royal Highness" title as very "trivial".
He said: "This is very minor, very trivial. They should be going much further.
"What actually matters is that he's still in the line of succession."
